Installation is easy - simply mount the bracket onto the ceiling, pull the wires through the middle of the bracket, connect the wires installed in your ceiling to the Kidde Alarm & twist and click the smoke alarm into the bracket. The Kidde Smoke Detector will chirp when its time to replace the 2 backup batteries or at the end of its 10-year life span. A test-hush button allows you to test the battery operations as well as silence nuisance alarms, should they occur. This Kidde model smoke alarm also offers Interconnection or Whole-Home Connection, which is the ability to connect alarms, so when one alarm sounds, they all sound, so you never miss an emergency & can escape quickly.
